David knows there is no better place to raise a family than Oro-Medonte.

David Grew up on a dairy farm on highway 93 across from ‘Richard’s Farm Equipment’. As the youngest of the three ‘Clark Boys’, he never shied away from a competitive hockey game in the barn. This translated into a love of Hockey, where for several years he was a proud member of the Oro-Medonte Thunder

As a proud Shanty Bay Buccaneer & Eastview Wildcat, David knows the special bonds that occur when attending a small rural school, and then jumping to a large secondary school. After Graduating top of his class in two subjects from Eastview (Accounting & Economics) he went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.

David and Kiera first met at the halls of Eastview secondary school (she’s an east end of Barrie girl but we won’t hold that against her). 14 years later they are happily married and share 4 children together.

After Graduating with his Honours Bachelors of business degree with Co-op and an accounting specialization, Kiera and David started to put down roots in Kitchener-Waterloo, with David working towards his CPA,CA at KPMG, and Kiera as a Nurse at Grand River Hospital. Once Isaac and Cohen were born, there was something missing… Oro-Medonte.
Came back here
After Two more kids, it became imperative for David and Kiera to return to their roots of Oro-Medonte. A house in the heart of the Village of Shanty Bay became available in the fall of 2021, and the rest is history. After becoming aware of some of the community issues, perceived financial mishaps of the council, it was time to give back to the community that has given him so much.
